Doxx's first official album, "Let's Be Famous," makes you want to move and feels at home in a mainstream atmosphere, but is far from the cliché, manufactured sound that tends to dominate the radio waves, pop charts and night clubs. With an energetic, futuristic vibe and heartfelt songwriting, it captures the fantasies and struggles of a young, hopeful artist striving to be heard. The nine tracks range from catchy anthems that you can't get out of your head, to refreshingly honest reflections on the reality that so few are willing to reveal about what it truly means to reach for fame and success in music. Although it's easy to hear the variety of musical influences, from dancehall to blues to pop, this Cleveland native's space-age themed campaign for the big stage is hip-hop in its truest form: raw, unadulterated expression.
